Our typical teaching contracts
Academic Year- (late September to mid/late June) 👩🏻🏫👨🏻🏫👩🏫👨🏿🏫
Our contracts are between 22-24 teaching hours per week for the full academic year. Teaching will be primarily in the afternoons (between 15.30-21.30) and some mornings from 10.00-11.30.
We teach General English adults (18+) (A1-B1 levels), Cambridge PET, FCE, CAE, CPE exam courses and speaking classes. Although the majority of our students are adults we also have a few teen and kids courses limited to earlier afternoon times.
Our methodology is simple: To communicate effectively and motivate students to communicate effectively with each other. So if you are a sociable person who loves sharing stories and getting to know people through your teaching, we want to hear from you!
We are a small school with a team of 4 teachers in total, located a few minutes walk from Ayora metro station.
💶 Pay: 18€ per hour (GROSS)
(Teachers will usually net between 1550-1700 euros per month after tax, depending on exact hours per month)
⏰ Teaching Hours: 22-24 per week
🖊️ Class Sizes: 8 students maximum, mainly adult students (18+)
🤩 Benefits: small team, positive atmosphere, ongoing support from experienced teachers, limited admin (no deep lesson planning documents or weekly reports needed).
💶 Holiday Pay: All contracts include fully paid holiday for Christmas, Easter, Fallas and any official local and national holidays.

There is so much to discover and enjoy about this beautiful city. The weather, beach, FOOD, healthy lifestyle and culture explodes into life each day and it’s difficult to feel bored. I have never in my life stayed in one city for more than 1 or 2 years. Here I am, 8 years later and have never doubted my decision. Applicant Requirements
- Minimum CELTA qualification (or TEFL with 3 years of relevant teaching experience)
- 2 years of teaching experience in Spain
- Knowledge of Cambridge Exams, particularly B2
- Good grammatical knowledge and communicative skills

PLEASE NOTE: OUR MONTHLY PAY NET ESTIMATIONS ARE TRUE AND ACCURATE BASED ON 9 PAID NOMINAS DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR. EMPLOYMENT IS UNTIL APPROX 18TH JUNE EACH YEAR. THERE ARE POSSIBILITIES FOR A FURTHER 4 WEEKS OF WORK IN JULY BUT AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER ARE CLOSED MONTHS. STAFF OPT TO GO ON PARO FOR THESE MONTHS (WHERE THEY RECEIVE A PORTION OF THEIR SALARY FROM THE GOVERNMENT) OR THEY FIND SEASONAL WORK.
