B2 Use of English PART 2 del examen B2 First es una de las más técnicas, pero también una de las que más puntos fáciles puede darte… si sabes cómo funciona. Aquí no te dan opciones, no te dan palabras base: tú tienes que saber qué palabra falta. Y ahí está el reto.
En Queens Academy siempre decimos lo mismo: no es cuestión de suerte, es cuestión de patrones. Hoy te vamos a enseñar esos patrones y 40 palabras clave que aparecen una y otra vez en el examen.
📌 ¿B2 Use of English PART 2: En qué consiste el Open Cloze (Part 2)?
Te darán un texto con 8 huecos. En cada hueco falta una palabra muy corta:
- preposiciones
- artículos
- pronombres
- auxiliares
- conectores
- palabras de estructura
👉 No puedes escribir más de una palabra por hueco.
🧠 Trucos que funcionan de verdad
✔️ 1. Lee la frase completa
No te lances al hueco directamente. Mira qué estructura pide.
✔️ 2. Piensa en bloques, no en palabras
Cambridge ama expresiones fijas como:
- look forward to
- be interested in
- used to
- take part in
✔️ 3. Detecta tiempos verbales
Muchísimos huecos son de auxiliares: have, has, had, been, being, do, did, was, were.
✔️ 4. Ojo con las preposiciones
Casi la mitad de las respuestas son preposiciones.

El Use of English Part 2 es una cuestión de estructuras, no de intuición. Si reconoces patrones, memorizas combinaciones y practicas con frases reales, esta parte puede convertirse en una de tus mejores aliadas en el B2.
